Phyllis Fender, Mayor Doug Chaffee and numerous other locals celebrate the addition of the building that housed the Fender Radio Shop to the National Directory of Historic Places. The site is where inventor Leo Fender designed and built guitars that went on to become the famous Telecasters, Stratocasters and numerous other historic musical instruments.
